Basic Geometry
(SSAT-Geo1)
Geometry skills required for the SSAT include the ability to work with points, lines and angles in a 2-dimensional plane. Students need to demonstrate the ability to work with simple shapes and figures such as triangles, quadrilaterals as well as circles and to calculate the area and perimeter of these shapes. Geometry also includes coordinate geometry where students need to understand and be able to apply linear equations, determine slopes and read coordinates. Visualization of solid figures will also be tested in Geometry.
